Kakadu Tours with Gagudju Adventure Tours

Gagudju Adventure Tours offers 4WD all day and half day tours and operates year round our flexible itineraries change according to road conditions and our guides knowledge of Kakadu. The tour has a modern fleet of 4WDs and meals and refreshments are provided throughout the day. 

Dry season

During the dry season (May to October) the tour will visit Jim Jim and Twin falls, on the Arnhem Land Escarpment. The tour will depart Gagudju Lodge Cooinda at sun-up. A free shuttle service from Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn, in Jabiru, to Gagudju Lodge Cooinda to make the tour is available.The tour goes off-road, winding through savannah woodland to the edge of the Arnhem Land Escarpment. Bushwalk through monsoon forest negotiating rocks along the river gorge before standing, encircled by towering 150 metre cliffs, at the shaded pool at the base of Jim Jim falls. 

A short 4WD, followed by a tranquil cruise with an Indigenous Cultural Guide, and walk along a trail carved into the gorge cliff face transports you to the sandy beach and dual falls of Twin Falls.

Wet season

During the wet season the tour operates according to road and environmental conditions. Don't let a flexible itinerary put you off exploring Kakadu during the wet season, when the park's flora comes alive. It may be a sunset art experience on Ubirr Rock, or swimming in the monsoonal forests of Gubarra, or tracking down the elusive red and blue Leichardt's grasshopper on a bushwalk with our indigenous guides.
